Ye Haa Bob Sitting and Shifting in a Chevrolet… Don't mess it up!

Sarah, Sarah, sitting in a Chevrolet,
Sarah, Sarah, sitting in a Chevrolet,
All day long she sits and shifts,
All day long she shifts and sits,
Sarah, Sarah, sitting in a Chevrolet.

Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Red. Enjoy the ride as we share with you the live Disney resort entertainment that we can't wait to see again.

If you remember the opening tongue twister and the admonition to be careful of your pronunciation, you are familiar with the live entertainment I'm most looking forward to my next trip to the "world".

Ye Haa Bob Jackson performs at the River Roost in my favorite resort, Port Orleans Riverside, and has been since 1997. He can be seen most Wednesdays through Saturdays beginning at 8:30 pm (the best show for children) and until around Midnight.

I am such a fan of Ye Haa Bob. First, he is a great entertainer, and live shows at Walt Disney World are a very special part of the Disney experience. His work is very audience-focused, as immersive as any show can be. He loves to learn about the audience, and spends time before he opens doing just that… and then recalls names and celebrations during his performance.

Bob Jackson is also very generous with his time on stage, and his enthusiasm spreads throughout the audience. Everyone gets involved; and you can always be guaranteed many in the crowd are repeat visitors since they are very familiar with his routines; this helps the first-timers be comfortable participating with everyone else.

You should remember to arrive early for table space, although I’ve enjoyed sitting at the bar. There are snacks to purchase and drinks of course, but have dinner before you get there to make the most of the evening. Space is a premium here, probably no more than 100 seats, but some standing room is available and seats will turnover during the evening.

Did you know that Bob Jackson, as much as he is known for his comedy routines, audience participation, and rocking piano, is also a graduate of the Cincinnati Conservatory in Music Composition. Bob writes and performs original compositions like this one below called “The Evening Beam”.

Bob is constantly on the move. If not trying to keep up with his rocking piano, he’s standing up on the bench and chairs, moving in and around of his stage area, and just having fun. He also loves to take pictures with guests, offering his head on your shoulders and funny faces to remember him by.

Don’t worry if you don’t know the words during the sing-alongs. He will take you word-for-word through songs like “Sarah Sarah” that I opened this post with. (Just, don’t mess it up!). And when he chimes in with his bugle (many times each show), your response is a Tarzan-like chest thumping and “Charge”. You’ll learn more the routine and audience responses when you make your way to this great night out for the whole family.

  3. I love see Bob perform! He is so fun! On one of our trips, he pulled a chair up to our table and my husband and I had a very nice chat with him. I consider him one of the hidden treasures of Disney resorts!
